What you will do

• Inspect, maintain, and repair facility systems including HVAC, electrical, lighting, fire/life safety, and boilers.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and operational testing of equipment.
• Document all tasks and equipment history using the CMMS computer system.
• Conduct daily surveys of buildings to identify necessary repair and maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate with vendors and specialists to resolve facility issues.
• Handle on-call duties for emergencies during nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Springfield, IL and surrounding areas
• 2-5 years of experience in general maintenance within a commercial facility setting.
• Proven mechanical ability and aptitude across various trades.
• Basic computer skills for documenting work and using Building Management Systems.
• Ability to interpret technical procedures, governmental regulations, and manufacturer manuals.
• Availability for on-call emergency duty on nights, weekends, and holidays
