Senior Manager, Scam Prevention Team (Cybersecurity): Building and implementing enterprise-wide processes and capabilities to detect, prevent, and disrupt scam activity across telecommunications networks with an accent on scalable controls, governance, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on analyzing complex systems, applying COBIT, NIST, or ISO 27001 frameworks, and adapting prevention strategies to emerging scam tactics and regulatory changes.
Location: Australia; based in Sydney or Melbourne. Hybrid arrangement with three days in the office and two days remote or from home.

What you will do
- Build and implement anti-scam processes supporting enterprise-wide prevention efforts.
- Embed scam prevention into core business operations with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and repeatability.
- Coordinate with Customer, Technology, and Cyber teams to deliver effective scam prevention tools and measurable impact.
- Communicate scam prevention and detection activities to customers and third parties.
- Establish feedback loops and governance reviews to improve scam prevention processes and systems.
- Monitor emerging scam tactics, regulatory changes, and industry innovations while fostering continuous learning across the organization.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in controls management, risk, or audit within financial services or telecommunications.
- Strong understanding of business process controls and network security principles.
- Experience with control frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001, or similar.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and identify control requirements and process improvements.
- Outstanding communication and collaborator engagement skills.
- Knowledge of scam types, financial crime, scam trends, and the use of data and analytics for scam detection and prevention.
