Cloud Security Architect (AI): Designing and securing critical infrastructure for complex government environments with an accent on ISM compliance, risk management, and cloud security architecture. What you will do

• Interpret and apply ISM controls to application architectures, including AI-assisted development guidance.
• Map application-specific risks, threats, and controls into SRMP and SSP documentation.
• Define incident response procedures aligned with ASD/ACSC reporting obligations.
• Establish continuous monitoring approaches consistent with new detection and CTI control sets.
• Liaise with client ISSOs/ITSAs and internal governance leads to validate control evidence for ATO submission.
• Create comprehensive security documentation including SSP, SRMP, Incident Response Plans, and SOPs.

Requirements

• Must be an Australian Citizen with a current NV1 Security Clearance (or eligible for sponsorship).
• Must be based in Belconnen, ACT.
• Demonstrated experience authoring ISM-aligned SSPs, SRMPs, and IRPs for ATO in an Australian Government or Defence context.
• Working knowledge of Azure security architecture including identity, network segmentation, key management, and monitoring.
• Strong ability to interpret and apply complex security frameworks to custom tooling.

• Familiarity with ASD's Cloud Controls Matrix template.
• Experience with OSCAL-based ISM tooling.
