What you will do
- Lead governance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement for physical security designs across data centre projects.
- Conduct formal security design reviews from master planning and concept design through construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Identify design risks and deficiencies, drive remediation, and provide security design acceptance recommendations.
- Oversee access control, CCTV, perimeter and intrusion detection, security operations centre integrations, visitor management, identity integrations, and critical infrastructure protection.
- Define technology lifecycle, replacement, maintenance, and upgrade strategies while supporting security integrator tenders.
- Partner with development, design, construction, ICT, operations, risk, customer solutions, consultants, contractors, and vendors across regional projects.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in physical security, security engineering, critical infrastructure, or data centre environments.
- Experience reviewing and approving complex physical security designs and conducting security threat vulnerability risk assessments.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise physical security systems, project delivery, design management, and portfolio governance.
- Experience managing external design consultants and system integrators and influencing stakeholders, contractors, and leadership.
- Security or related tertiary and/or industry qualifications, with strong written, verbal, and data presentation skills in English.
- Ability to travel across APAC and other global locations; NV1 security clearance is preferred or must be obtainable for Australian-based candidates.
