Trade Assistant (Commodity Markets)

Location: On-site in Houston, TX, Plains, NY, or New York City

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 annually for NYC

What you will do

• Support brokers across multiple brokerage desks with trade execution follow-up and administration.
• Enter daily trades into required trading and proprietary systems within exchange-rule deadlines.
• Review daily trade blotters and report trade information.
• Enter daily price information into internal systems.
• Provide operational backup and assist with special operations and trade activities.
• Support KYC and onboarding for new customers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a trade assistant or operations support specialist in commodity markets.
• Interest in and understanding of global energy commodity and financial markets and their infrastructure.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and detail-oriented skills.
• Proficiency with relevant energy commodity trading software and data systems.
• Experience with futures clearers, including FCMs.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with ICE, CME, or Nodal trade-entry systems.
• Experience with Salesforce.
• Bachelor’s degree in business.
• Knowledge of commodity products.
