Trade Desk Representative (Futures and Options)

Location: Chicago, Illinois; initially on-site, with potential hybrid or remote work based on experience. The role covers US overnight, early morning, and weekend trading hours on a four-day schedule: two 8-hour weekday shifts and two 12-hour weekend shifts. A minimum of one year on the overnight shift is required before a potential transition to day shift.

Salary: $90,000–$95,000 per year, plus a discretionary performance bonus of 8–11% of base salary.

What you will do

• Provide overnight and weekend trading support for futures, futures options, extended-hours stocks, event contracts, and broad-based index options.
• Resolve trade disputes, execution errors, order-entry issues, platform problems, and urgent customer requests across phone, email, and chat.
• Monitor account exposures, margin requirements, market volatility, concentrated positions, unusual activity, and potential fraud.
• Conduct customer risk callouts and discuss position adjustments, hedging methods, and risk-reduction options during volatile events.
• Coordinate escalations with Margin and Risk, Compliance/Fraud, Banking, Engineering, and Technical Support teams.
• Document incidents and produce detailed shift handoff reports covering overnight activity, risk events, customer issues, and action items.

Requirements

• FINRA SIE, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 3 certifications.
• 3–5 years of experience in high-volume customer service, trading operations, or a trade desk role.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with options, futures, and futures options trading.
• Deep knowledge of futures and futures options execution, pricing, market structure, options Greeks, margin requirements, Regulation T, portfolio margin, and SPAN methodologies.
• Strong risk-management, customer communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and independent decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Salesforce, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft products, and trading platforms.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in overnight or off-hours trading operations.
• Experience with extended-hours stock trading and exchange-traded derivatives across multiple asset classes.
