Trading Operations Analyst

Location: Chicago, United States

Annual base compensation: $85,000–$110,000 USD, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus

hirify.global is a proprietary trading firm deploying its own capital across discretionary, systematic, and market-making strategies in global listed derivatives.

What you will do

• Act as a primary operations contact for US trading desks, supporting trade booking and position management inquiries.
• Build and optimize operational processes across an expanding product base while maintaining data integrity.
• Monitor US trading activity and resolve issues involving drop copy and FIX messaging.
• Resolve daily trade breaks and fails with prime brokers, clearers, and counterparties.
• Manage trade lifecycle events, corporate actions, and daily P&L, position, and cash reconciliations.
• Support London and Hong Kong Operations teams during US hours and coordinate proactively with the line manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of operational experience at a market-making or proprietary trading firm.
• Strong knowledge of equity and listed derivative instruments and their lifecycle events.
• Experience working in high-pressure, high-volume environments with time-sensitive deliverables.
• Excellent communication skills and advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Understanding of how AI can support operational responsibilities while maintaining governance and compliance.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in a market-making environment.
• Knowledge of VBA, Python, or SQL.
