What you will do

• Underwrite new commercial credit requests and material modifications from deal screening through approval and the life of the loan.
• Monitor existing commercial credit portfolios through annual reviews, interim updates, covenant monitoring, problem-loan management, and early-warning indicators.
• Review financial statements, tax returns, due diligence reports, credit bureaus, appraisals, industry research, and peer data to assess creditworthiness.
• Prepare financial models, cash flow analyses, collateral schedules, covenant sensitivity calculations, guarantor analyses, and risk ratings.
• Partner with relationship managers, attend client and prospect calls, and present credit analyses during credit discussions and committee meetings.
• Ensure compliance with commercial credit policies, risk standards, internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, plus at least 2 years of experience in commercial credit, public accounting, financial statement analysis, or related financial analysis.
• Alternatively, at least 6 combined years of higher education and work experience, including 2 years in a relevant financial analysis field.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, credit metrics, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong organization, time management, accuracy, and customer focus.

Nice to have

• Experience with Capital IQ, FactSet, or Bloomberg.
