Senior HVAC Project Developer (HVAC)

Location: Willowbrook, Illinois, United States. Monday through Thursday onsite with colleagues; Fridays offer flexible work location. Some travel within the Midwest, including occasional overnight stays.

Annual base salary: $81,800–$146,720. Incentive eligible; not eligible for sales commission.

What you will do

• Lead complex energy, infrastructure, and facility modernization opportunities from qualification through contract execution.
• Evaluate mechanical, electrical, and building systems to identify operational risks, deferred maintenance, lifecycle opportunities, and capital improvement needs.
• Develop HVAC modernization, building automation, energy efficiency, electrification, sustainability, resilience, renewable energy, and intelligent building solutions.
• Coordinate with designers, contractors, estimators, operations teams, consultants, trade partners, and utilities to assess constructability, phasing, costs, risks, and execution strategies.
• Build business cases covering lifecycle costs, funding strategies, energy performance, operational impact, rebates, and return on investment.
• Present technical solutions to customers, lead planning workshops, coordinate project transitions, and support the development of early-career team members.

Requirements

• Subject matter expertise in mechanical HVAC systems.
• Basic knowledge of energy, building design, estimating, and construction.
• Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, construction, engineering technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions within the previous three years.
• Ability to work onsite Monday through Thursday in Willowbrook, Illinois, with Midwest travel required.
