Service Technician (HVAC)

Location: On-site five days per week in Shah Alam, Selangor; based in Johor Bahru or Shah Alam and able to support regional operations

What you will do

• Provide technical support, servicing, and maintenance for HVAC systems, data centre cooling solutions, and mission-critical equipment.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, cooling towers, and related infrastructure.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, commission, and optimize HVAC and data centre cooling systems.
• Lead technicians and subcontractors, coordinating vendors, contractors, materials, schedules, documentation, and reports.
• Communicate with data centre customers, manage work schedules and expectations, provide updates, and resolve technical issues.
• Respond to urgent and unplanned maintenance needs while ensuring compliance with EHS and internal quality requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least five years of HVAC experience, preferably in data centre operations or mission-critical cooling systems.
• Strong technical expertise in chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, HVAC controls, and cooling optimization.
• Experience engaging with data centre customers and managing expectations in a high-demand environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork, customer-handling, and independent-working skills.
• Willingness to work long, extended, irregular, or after-hours shifts as required by data centre operations.
