Mechanical Systems Specialist (HVAC)

What you will do

• Act as the technical subject matter expert for critical HVAC infrastructure and other mechanical systems.
• Maintain effective, efficient, and resilient mechanical infrastructure while improving maintenance and operating value.
• Provide operational input during design and build stages, including design reviews and commissioning activities.
• Work with mechanical vendors, Controls and Electrical Specialists, design teams, safety teams, customers, and DC Operations on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Lead problem and change management, event support, forensic engineering, and product root-cause analysis.
• Develop mechanical asset management strategies and conduct CFD airflow modelling for customer needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of extensive experience with data centre HVAC mechanical systems.
• Experience with BMS, EPMS, and Modbus control systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of chiller plants, chilled water systems, adiabatic and waterside economizer free cooling topologies.
• Understanding of liquid cooling design topologies for AI and ML applications, CFD modelling, and aisle containment systems.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications and produce technical problem analyses and event reports.
• Ability to travel throughout Southeast Asia to support site operations, communicate with customers and DC Operations, and work independently or collaboratively.
