Managing Director - Leveraged Finance Execution Leader (Leveraged Finance)

Location: Office-based in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States

Salary: $225,000–$300,000 annually, plus eligibility for incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead the Leveraged Finance Execution platform, supporting strategy, policy, workflow, and team development.
• Oversee structuring, underwriting, credit approval, and execution of complex leveraged finance transactions.
• Act as a senior escalation point and player/coach on high-profile, time-sensitive transactions.
• Manage deal screening, client onboarding, credit agreements, legal documentation, loan syndication, and distribution activities.
• Partner with banking, financial sponsor coverage, syndication, product, and credit teams to deliver financing solutions and support fee growth.
• Identify and mitigate market and credit risk while managing portfolio reporting and regulatory relationships.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of leveraged finance experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of leveraged finance markets, transaction execution, financial analysis, risk mitigation, and the legal and regulatory environment for leveraged and sponsor lending.
• Demonstrated experience leading high-performing teams and collaborating across business and product groups.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Registered Series 7, 63, and/or 79.
