Project Developer (HVAC)

Location: Laval, Quebec, Canada; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a flexible work location on Fridays

Annual base salary: $85,816.66–$120,084.99 USD

What you will do

• Identify, evaluate, and develop turnkey project opportunities from assessment through pre-implementation planning.
• Define project scope, deliverables, preliminary timelines, budgets, resources, and development milestones.
• Coordinate commercial, engineering, procurement, legal, finance, operations, service, and design activities.
• Develop technical and commercial proposals with cost estimates, schedules, risk assessments, and financial tracking.
• Manage communications with customers, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal leadership.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, support contract alignment, and maintain project documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, project management, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in project development, pre-construction, engineering, energy solutions, construction, or a related environment.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional projects during early-stage planning and development.
• Understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, contracts, procurement, and risk management.
• Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with project management and business software.

Nice to have

• PMP or equivalent certification.
• Experience in HVAC, energy services, building systems, industrial infrastructure, or capital projects.
• Familiarity with design-build or EPC-style delivery models.
• Experience working with external contractors, vendors, and customer stakeholders on multi-phase projects.
