Project Developer (HVAC)

Location: Laval, Quebec, Canada; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a choice of work location on Fridays

Annual base salary: $85,816.66–$120,084.99

What you will do

• Identify, evaluate, and develop turnkey project opportunities from initial assessment through pre-implementation planning.
• Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, budgets, resource requirements, and development milestones.
• Coordinate sales, engineering, procurement, legal, finance, operations, service, contractors, suppliers, and customer stakeholders.
• Develop technical and commercial proposals, including cost estimates, schedules, risk assessments, and contract input.
• Support design coordination, solution development, project documentation, financial tracking, and status reporting.
• Drive risk mitigation, change management, compliance, lessons learned, and process standardization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, project management, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in project development, pre-construction, engineering, energy solutions, construction, or related environments.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional projects during early-stage planning and development.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, contracts, procurement, and risk management.
• Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, quality, contractual, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Proficiency with project management tools and standard business software, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Experience in HVAC, energy services, building systems, industrial infrastructure, or capital projects.
• Familiarity with design-build or EPC-style project delivery models.
• Experience working with external contractors, vendors, and customer stakeholders on multi-phase projects.
