What you will do

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Memory Care department in partnership with the Executive Director and Director of Health and Wellness.
• Assess potential residents for Memory Care level of care and prepare or review resident assessments, evaluations, and care plans.
• Coordinate resident and family care conferences and act as a liaison between residents, families, and staff.
• Interview, orient, train, coach, and manage Memory Care employees in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Organize monthly programming calendars, coordinate supplies, and lead 3–5 self-led resident programs daily.
• Monitor regulatory compliance, department budgets, resident programs, and satisfaction levels.

Requirements

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in social work, recreation therapy, psychology, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience working with individuals with dementia, including leading programs and handling complex behavioral issues.
• Experience educating staff and families about Alzheimer’s disease or dementia-related topics.
• Activities Director Certification, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Certified Dementia Practitioner, or another relevant certification as required.
• Acceptable fluency in English is required for speaking, reading, writing, and workplace communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
