Director of Resident and Family Services (Senior Living)

Location: Briarcliff Manor, New York, USA; full-time, onsite

Salary: $48.00–$49.00 per hour; the posting also states compensation from $100,000.

What you will do

• Serve as case manager for assisted living and memory care residents in accordance with NYSDOH regulations.
• Coordinate move-ins, hospital and rehabilitation readmissions, required documentation, resident orientations, and admission assessments.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning, care conferences, grievance procedures, satisfaction surveys, and service-plan follow-up.
• Act as the primary family contact and coordinate with clinical, memory care, programming, sales, marketing, and business office teams.
• Train healthcare staff on psychosocial needs, aging sensitivity, hospitality, resident rights, and dignity-centered care.
• Build relationships with community agencies, providers, referral sources, and professional organizations to improve care delivery and resident retention.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, RN, or LPN designation required; nursing background preferred.
• 5+ years of experience; training and experience in gerontology and hospitality preferred.
• Fluent English required for speaking, reading, writing, and communication.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, agencies, and programs related to assisted living, Medicare, OSHA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, and safe medical devices.
• Strong interpersonal communication and crisis management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Yardi.

• Experience with state regulatory agencies.
• Training and experience in gerontology and hospitality.
