What you will do

• Manage and grow a portfolio of complex, high-value loan and deposit relationships with municipalities across Massachusetts.
• Meet with municipal clients and prospects to understand requirements, evaluate credit information, and recommend relationship solutions.
• Maintain a high-quality loan portfolio, monitor compliance with loan terms, and keep credit files complete and current.
• Develop new loan, deposit, and fee-based business through a formal client call program.
• Track market trends, expand business in established and developing markets, and represent the bank in civic and community activities.
• Coach and mentor junior relationship managers as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience.
• At least seven years of commercial portfolio management experience.
• Knowledge of financial analysis, banking credit principles, bank policies, and commercial fee-based products.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, sales, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work diplomatically with personnel at all levels and build relationships with prospects and clients.
