What you will do

  • Lead and develop a team responsible for mechanical, laser, and fiber assembly processes in a cleanroom environment.
  • Plan and manage engineering projects against budget, schedule, and performance targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma, SPC, 8D, FMEA, and DOE methods.
  • Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and process control implementation.
  • Manage FAT, FLP, FAI, RFQ tracking, customer escalations, and handover of projects to production.
  • Develop NPI, testing, DFM, production-transfer, tooling, and operational-readiness strategies with Design Engineering and production teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optical, Materials, Mechanical, or Precision Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry.
  • At least 7 years of process engineering experience in a technical or manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in leadership or management.
  • Experience leading optical, laser, or fiber product development and manufacturing teams.
  • Hands-on experience with DFM, NPI, process development, DOE, 8D, Lean Six Sigma, and commissioning measurement systems.
  • Strong knowledge of process control, quality assurance, root cause analysis, customer technical communications, and escalations.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS9100, engineering change control, document management, capital projects, and production environments.
