What you will do
- Build and lead the manufacturing reliability team in Nava.
- Develop reliability strategies for new product introductions and manufacturing products.
- Own ongoing reliability testing, product qualification activities, test plans, schedules, reporting, and escalation processes.
- Analyze reliability data, identify failure mechanisms and product or process risks, and lead root cause investigations.
- Use statistical analysis, Design of Experiments, and structured problem-solving methods to drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Partner with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, R&D, and central reliability teams while recruiting and mentoring technical staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, physics, materials science, mechanical engineering, electronics, or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years leading reliability, qualification, quality, manufacturing, or related engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of reliability methodologies, accelerated testing, failure analysis, statistical analysis, and reliability data interpretation.
- Demonstrated experience conducting Design of Experiments studies and translating findings into product or manufacturing improvements.
- Experience in electronics, semiconductor, optical, storage, automotive, industrial, or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with optical communications, semiconductor packaging, optoelectronics, photonics, datacenter hardware, storage devices, or other high-reliability electronic products.
- Experience with JMP, Minitab, Python, R, Weibull++, or equivalent reliability data analysis tools.
- Experience supporting products through development, qualification, manufacturing ramp, and volume production.
- Experience across international engineering and manufacturing sites or in developing reliability laboratories and test infrastructure.
