Director of Technology (Product Development)

Location: Singapore, SGP; Science Park II, moving to Tampines at the end of 2026. Relocation eligible.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary technology team across chamber design, process development, systems engineering, controls, and integration.
• Define and execute chamber technology roadmaps, product architectures, risk retirement plans, and development milestones.
• Drive chamber development programs from concept through new product introduction and manufacturing readiness while meeting performance, schedule, cost, quality, and reliability goals.
• Provide technical direction on chamber hardware, process performance, plasma and chemical interactions, materials compatibility, defectivity, cleanliness, and manufacturability.
• Partner with product management, manufacturing, supply chain, service, and customer-facing teams to deliver product solutions.
• Lead customer issue resolution through containment, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, recovery plans, and long-term improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Significant experience leading semiconductor equipment, process module, or chamber development programs.
• Experience leading technical teams and driving cross-functional execution in a global, matrixed organization.
• Strong knowledge of the product development lifecycle, including feasibility, design validation, process integration, NPI, reliability, and manufacturing readiness.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with executive, customer, and engineering audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with etch, plasma processing, wet clean, post-CMP clean, or related semiconductor process technologies.
• Hands-on experience with chamber architecture, RF or plasma systems, gas or chemical delivery, fluidics, vacuum systems, temperature control, contamination control, or materials compatibility.
• Experience resolving customer challenges involving yield, defectivity, productivity, cost of ownership, process window expansion, or product reliability.
