TL;DR

Location: Long Beach, California, United States — onsite at hirify.global's headquarters and technical production areas. The role works the 3:15 PM–1:45 AM Monday–Thursday shift.

Salary: $27–$34 USD per hour, base pay range for California.

hirify.global is an end-to-end aerospace company building rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems, including the reusable Neutron launch vehicle.

What you will do

  • Perform complex mechanical inspections of purchased parts, 3D-printed components, CNC-machined items, electromechanical components, and propulsion assemblies.
  • Complete receiving, in-process, and final assembly inspections using hand measurement systems and CMM equipment.
  • Document non-conformances in ERP, MES, and issue-tracking systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and management to improve work instructions and identify critical inspection points.
  • Coordinate inspection priorities with production personnel to support delivery milestones.
  • Apply a Built in Quality approach by detecting non-conformances and preventing defects from reaching downstream customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance within a mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States under applicable ITAR requirements is required.
  • Ability to work the 3:15 PM–1:45 AM Monday–Thursday shift and operate computers, tools, and technical equipment.
  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings, work in production areas, and move between buildings, labs, and work areas.

Nice to have

  • Space manufacturing or engine-build inspection experience.
  • Experience with comparators, Romer arms, Keyence Vision Systems, CMMs, or PC-DMIS.
  • Experience with borescope inspections and precision hand measurement instruments.
  • Inspection experience with aerospace components and assemblies.
  • Experience using enterprise resource planning systems.
