Physical Security Engineer (Data Centers)

Company

Nscale develops and operates data center infrastructure requiring globally standardized physical security systems.

What you will do

• Lead regional physical security engineering across data center planning, design, construction, commissioning, and operational turnover.
• Review architectural and engineering designs, consultant deliverables, shop drawings, equipment submittals, scope changes, and specifications.
• Coordinate with Data Center Infrastructure, architects, consultants, system integrators, general contractors, and owner representatives.
• Provide technical approval for physical security design changes and support construction issue resolution.
• Perform installation quality inspections, milestone walkthroughs, commissioning support, and customer acceptance activities.
• Act as the regional technical subject matter expert for physical security design and systems engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, information technology, criminal justice, security management, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of experience leading complex physical security, critical infrastructure, construction, or technology deployment programs.
• Experience delivering physical security systems for hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing cross-functional programs involving design, construction, networking, operations, procurement, and customer stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating commissioning, operational readiness, and transition to operations.
• Knowledge of access control, video surveillance, security networking, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, security design standards, electronic security commissioning, system integration, and operational technology cybersecurity fundamentals.

• ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification.
• Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification.
• Genetec Security Center certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent TPM certification.
• BICSI RCDD certification.
