Project Engineer (Network Construction & Deployment)

Location: Singapore; site-focused role for data centre construction and deployment

What you will do

• Lead construction delivery of structured cabling, fibre optic infrastructure, racks, cabinets, cable containment, and network equipment.
• Develop execution plans, installation methodologies, daily work plans, and look-ahead schedules.
• Direct Site Engineers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, and installation teams across manpower, materials, methods, and machinery.
• Review drawings, rack elevations, fibre routing plans, cable schedules, port maps, and technical documentation for buildability.
• Manage RFIs, technical queries, design clarifications, field changes, productivity, quality, safety, schedule, and cost performance.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning support, handover, progress reporting, risk registers, and interfaces with engineering and construction disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• 4–10 years of experience delivering network infrastructure construction and deployment projects.
• Practical experience supervising structured cabling, fibre optic systems, rack and cabinet deployment, network equipment installation, testing, commissioning support, and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of copper and fibre structured cabling, OTDR and insertion-loss testing, cable containment, and data centre network architecture.
• Experience with switches, routers, firewalls, out-of-band networks, MMR, MDF, IDF, and Meet-Me Room deployments.
• Experience with brownfield and greenfield data centre projects is highly desirable.

Nice to have

• Certifications in structured cabling, fibre optics, or networking.
• Background with structured cabling, network infrastructure, telecommunications, data centre fit-out contractors, or systems integrators.
