Business Banking Underwriter II (Commercial Credit)

What you will do

• Underwrite Business Banking loans and determine borrower creditworthiness.
• Review financial statements, credit applications, and related information to make credit decisions.
• Maintain an individual pipeline of underwriting work supporting Business Banking production.
• Assess borrower risk profiles and compliance with Bank lending policy.
• Handle moderately complex credit exposures and use single approval authority up to $2MM.
• Support additional tasks for the line of business and job family as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of experience in business or commercial underwriting within a centralized lending environment.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.
• Ability to work in an office-based workplace.
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks while maintaining quality.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, planning, and follow-up skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
• Experience underwriting credit exposures above $1MM.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet research resources.
• Strong customer service skills and a focused, goal-oriented approach.
