Branch Manager (Banking)

Salary: $72,200–$120,300 annual (USD)

What you will do

• Manage all branch activities, including customer and employee experience, transactions, operations, servicing, digital engagement, and sales.
• Direct sales and business development efforts to achieve annual profitability and performance goals.
• Lead, coach, develop, interview, and manage branch staff, including performance appraisals and staffing decisions.
• Build Retail and Business Banking relationships through proactive outreach, community networking, and outside calling.
• Resolve complex account servicing and error-resolution issues while maintaining ownership through completion.
• Process Business Banking loan requests up to $250,000 and maintain compliance, security, risk, and internal control standards.

Requirements

• Branch Manager experience, with at least three years of sales experience.
• Bachelor’s degree, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least two years of managerial experience or demonstrated leadership ability.
• Strong knowledge of Business Banking products, services, profitability, and client relationship management.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, word processing, spreadsheets, internet, and email.
• M&T Way Certification and Precision Leadership Certification; insurance licensing and M&T Business Banking Specialist requirements must be completed within 18 months of hire where applicable.

• Spanish language skills.
• Sales and business development success, strong financial services product knowledge, and exceptional communication skills.
• Experience coaching customer service and managing relationships across an organization.
