Overhead Wiring Lead

Location: Hybrid role based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne, Australia

Salary: AUD 250,000–350,000 yearly

What you will do

• Lead and grow the Overhead Wiring discipline across Australia and New Zealand.
• Act as the principal technical authority for overhead wiring design and engineering delivery.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to engineers across multiple regions.
• Undertake design reviews, technical assurance and governance activities for major rail projects.
• Build client and stakeholder relationships and support business development, proposals and work-winning activities.
• Support workforce planning, strategic recruitment and capability development across the rail business.

Requirements

• Relevant engineering degree.
• Extensive experience in overhead wiring design and rail electrification.
• Demonstrated leadership within a consulting environment.
• Strong understanding of Australian rail standards and delivery frameworks.
• Experience leading teams, mentoring staff and managing stakeholders.
• Business development and client engagement capability.

Nice to have

• Sydney Trains experience.
• CPEng or equivalent professional accreditation.
