Assistant Facilities Manager

Location: Sydney, Australia; flexible hybrid model with regular onsite facilities coordination.

Salary: AUD 116,669 annual package, including AUD 102,936 base salary, superannuation, and leave loading.

What you will do

• Coordinate scheduled, corrective, and reactive maintenance across zoo infrastructure and facilities.
• Manage fuel supply, waste removal, utility invoices, purchase orders, and contractor-related financial processing.
• Coordinate maintenance for refrigeration, commercial kitchen equipment, air conditioning, BMS systems, and small appliances.
• Manage external contractors, permits, site activities, expectations, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain asset data, workflows, and maintenance planning activities in Archibus.
• Support strategic maintenance budgeting and the Facilities Manager across the wider assets function.

Requirements

• Demonstrated facilities management experience in a dynamic, high-paced environment.
• Experience with Archibus or a similar asset management system.
• Knowledge of BMS, mechanical systems, refrigeration systems, and hospitality equipment.
• Trade, building, or facilities management qualification, or an equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, and experience.
• Current NSW Driver’s Licence, or ability to have an existing licence formally recognised.
• Current paid NSW Working with Children Check and NSW White Card for Construction are required and must be maintained at the candidate’s own expense.
