What you will do

• Lead, support, mentor, and develop the Melbourne Fire Engineering team.
• Build a high-performing culture, support recruitment and workforce planning, and develop future technical and business leaders.
• Provide senior technical leadership and guidance on complex, high-profile fire engineering projects and fire safety solutions.
• Develop strategic client and industry relationships, identify opportunities, and support proposals, tenders, and fee negotiations.
• Increase hirify.global' presence and reputation across Victoria through networking, industry forums, and market development.
• Contribute to business plans, growth objectives, workload planning, and collaboration with global technical and business development teams.

Requirements

• Significant fire engineering experience with strong technical knowledge and project delivery experience.
• Experience leading complex fire engineering projects from inception through completion.
• Experience managing, mentoring, or leading engineers.
• Strong understanding of the Australian Building Code, relevant Standards, and fire engineering practices.
• Client management, relationship-building, communication, presentation, business development, and networking skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to balance technical quality, people development, client needs, and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Chartered status or the ability to obtain chartered status.
