Compensation Manager (AI)

Location: On-site in New York, NY; Austin, TX; or San Francisco, CA

Salary: $200,000–$235,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Advise leadership and department heads on compensation strategy using market data and competitive intelligence.
• Own annual and off-cycle compensation planning from strategy through execution.
• Design and maintain compensation models, tools, dashboards, and leveling resources for People, Finance, and leadership.
• Conduct benchmarking and market analysis using Radford, Mercer, Levels.fyi, and similar sources.
• Design and improve compensation, incentive, and equity programs for a rapidly scaling AI infrastructure business.
• Support performance and review cycles, offer decisions, pay equity analysis, and retention planning.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in compensation or a related HR function.
• Ownership of compensation planning cycles and program design.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to build and refine compensation programs.
• Strong analytical skills and experience building complex compensation models and translating results into recommendations.
• Experience benchmarking pay structures with Radford, Mercer, Levels.fyi, or similar market data.
• Experience with incentive and equity programs, including private and public equity frameworks.

Nice to have

• Background in AI, cloud infrastructure, or data centers.
• Experience at a high-growth technology company or startup.
• Exposure to pre-IPO or rapid-scaling compensation environments.
