Strategic Sourcing Analyst II (Hybrid)

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States; hybrid model with onsite presence four days per week at a regional M&T Bank office.

Salary: $62,200–$103,600 annual USD

What you will do

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across assigned spending categories, coordinating executive sponsors and cross-functional project teams.
• Develop and execute RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs based on business needs, market conditions, and corporate standards.
• Evaluate vendor proposals, coordinate supplier demonstrations and reference checks, and shortlist suppliers.
• Lead contract negotiations with project teams and Legal to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Prepare recommendations and results for senior management, including savings, customer implications, and operational impacts.
• Guide business units through third-party risk tiering, vetting, and approval processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of proven financial or business experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience writing RFPs and negotiating contracts.
• Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management and eSignature software tools.
• Proficiency with procurement systems, spreadsheets, presentation software, databases, and relevant mainframe systems.
• Strong organizational, analytical, time management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience interacting with all levels of management and adhering to risk, regulatory, and internal control standards.
