Operations Lead

What you will do

• Lead 24/7/365 operation of critical site infrastructure including electrical distribution, mechanical and liquid cooling, fire/life safety, and building controls ensuring availability against SLAs.
• Own site safety programs in partnership with HSE, including hazardous energy control, electrical safety, and LOTO discipline.
• Build and lead the full site team including facility, hardware, and network operators, managing shift coverage and performance.
• Manage hardware and network repair operations, including ticket queues, triage, prioritization, break-fix, and RMA workflows.
• Lead incident and change management, including severity response, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Partner with construction, commissioning, colo providers, and utilities during live builds to ensure operational readiness and smooth handover.

Requirements

• Must have experience running 24/7 critical facility operations with contractual availability.
• Deep knowledge of electrical and mechanical infrastructure to engage with technicians effectively.
• Experience managing high-volume repair or break-fix operations with focus on queue discipline and time-to-repair.
• Proven ability to build and develop technical teams through hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Experience operating procedure-based safety programs (LOTO, electrical safety, hazardous energy control).
• Experience partnering with construction and commissioning teams during live builds to identify operational and safety gaps.
• Strong communication skills to present RCA and status updates to executives and customers.

Nice to have

• Hyperscale or Tier III/IV facility experience.
• Trade certification or journeyman license (electrical, HVAC, controls).
• Experience with new-facility commissioning and operational readiness programs.
• Familiarity with CMMS/EAM systems.
• Background in GPU cluster or high-performance network operations.
