Strategic Sourcing Category Lead, Capital Expenditure

Salary: $90,000–$107,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end sourcing for capital equipment and capital expenditure projects.
• Develop CAPEX category strategies, run RFQs, evaluate suppliers, and lead supplier selection.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties, service agreements, and delivery schedules.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Project Management, Legal, and site stakeholders.
• Drive cost optimization through market analysis, benchmarking, supplier strategy, and total cost of ownership analysis.
• Manage supplier performance, contractual compliance, quality, delivery, risk, and multiple sourcing projects in parallel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
• Experience running RFQs, selecting suppliers, and negotiating commercial terms for complex equipment or services.
• Experience with ERP, S&OP, or payment systems used for purchasing, data management, or contract workflows.
• At least one year of experience supporting manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Strong commercial acumen, cost-optimization skills, organization, communication, and project management abilities.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree and additional industry experience.
• At least one year of advanced experience in sourcing analytics or category management.
• Data analysis, problem-solving, written communication, and stakeholder partnership skills.
• Additional language capability, such as Spanish.
