Early Career Software Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco or New York City, United States

Salary: $90,000–$140,000 USD annually, depending on experience

What you will do

• Deliver features and fixes end to end, from problem definition through coding, testing, and deployment.
• Navigate unfamiliar systems and codebases to identify and resolve problems.
• Investigate issues in production systems and drive them to resolution.
• Produce quality code, thorough documentation, and smooth deployments.
• Take on progressively larger and less-defined engineering problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluency in one or more programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, Node.js, or Java.
• Software built and shipped through internships, open source, or personal projects, with the ability to explain technical decisions.
• Ability to decompose ambiguous problems and make progress independently.
• Clear written communication for pull requests and design documents.
• Interest or experience in developing or leveraging generative AI technologies, including large language models.
