What you will do

• Architect and implement core services, systems, and APIs with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple projects, guiding system design and coding best practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and designers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Lead design and code reviews while contributing to technical documentation and RFCs.
• Investigate and resolve critical production issues to ensure system reliability and uptime.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers to support their professional growth.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of software engineering experience, including designing and shipping large-scale systems.
• Deep proficiency in backend or fullstack languages such as Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and observability practices.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in a high-growth tech company or fast-paced startup environment.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and streaming systems like Kafka or Pub/Sub.
• Background in platform engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering (SRE).
