Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Seattle, United States; hybrid

Salary: $190,000–$210,000 base pay per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable, reliable backend services and APIs.
• Own critical system components from conception through deployment and maintenance.
• Optimize data processing pipelines and storage solutions.
• Integrate third-party services and data sources, including LLM providers.
• Monitor infrastructure, troubleshoot operational issues, and improve uptime and reliability.
• Apply unit and integration testing and improve system scalability and maintainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering, or 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Backend development experience with Python, Java, or Go.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, data modeling, and database management.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work with autonomy and accountability in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Flink, or Spark.
• Experience with Pydantic, FastAPI, and SQLAlchemy.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Prior startup or fast-growing company experience.
