Forward-Deployed Software Engineer (Machine Learning)

Location: On-site in New York or San Francisco, five days per week; this is not a hybrid role.

Salary: $170K–$280K per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Write and integrate hirify.global technology for customers and prospects across different environments.
• Build efficient feature pipelines for healthcare, finance, fraud prevention, identity verification, clean energy, and recommendation use cases.
• Gather customer requirements and partner with Engineering and Sales.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact during pre-sales and post-sales customer engagements.
• Recommend new products as customer business needs evolve.
• Help interview and grow the Engineering team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Experience writing software or building machine learning models.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, storytelling, and analytical skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with machine learning or data products and services.
• Understanding of machine learning operations and infrastructure.
• Experience as a forward-deployed engineer at a high-growth machine learning startup.
• Experience working closely with sales teams and customers.
