Senior Director Strategic Delivery

Location: United States; primarily work from home. Occasional in-person team meetings may be required.

Salary: $167,703–$268,325 annually

What you will do

• Own the enterprise delivery operating model, including intake, funding, sequencing, governance, and value streams.
• Lead delivery for Tier-1 initiatives linked to enterprise strategy, including M&A integration, platform transitions, and regulatory programs.
• Directly manage Directors of Delivery Management and Principal Delivery Managers; oversee hiring, performance, development, and succession planning.
• Represent delivery in enterprise planning, prioritization, investment, executive, and board governance forums.
• Own the delivery function’s budget, contractor mix, tooling, capacity planning, and multi-year investment case.
• Use throughput, cycle time, WIP, and flow-efficiency metrics to guide organizational design and investment decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 13+ years of delivery, program, or portfolio management experience in complex cross-functional environments.
• 6+ years of direct people management experience, including managing delivery or engineering managers or directors.
• Experience designing and implementing an enterprise delivery operating model and owning enterprise-critical initiatives with executive or board visibility.
• Experience owning a functional budget or investment portfolio, including multi-year capacity and headcount planning.
• Practical fluency in Lean, Disciplined Agile, Kanban, or Continuous Delivery, plus SDLC/PDLC governance, Change Management, and Risk/Security frameworks in regulated environments.

Nice to have

• Healthcare, insurance, or other regulated-industry experience.
• Experience building a delivery leadership layer and developing Directors or Principals.
• Agile certifications such as DASSM, SAFe SPC, or PgMP.
• PE-backed, M&A, turnaround, care coordination, or claims management experience.
