Manchester Operations Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Manchester, New Hampshire, United States; combined office and manufacturing environment with regular time on the production floor

What you will do

• Lead production teams and manage manufacturing schedules, labor, materials, and equipment utilization.
• Analyze production performance and coach team members to support a high-performance culture.
• Oversee maintenance, equipment uptime, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, installations, commissioning, and modifications.
• Coordinate maintenance plans with production priorities and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.
• Lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and lower costs.
• Enforce safety, quality, environmental, and operational policies across the facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of manufacturing and/or industrial maintenance experience.
• 3–5+ years of leadership experience managing teams.
• Strong understanding of production operations and equipment reliability.
• Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and process improvements.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a high-volume manufacturing environment and meet physical demands including frequent walking and occasional lifting.

Nice to have

• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and CMMS platforms.
• Experience in cable, wire, or similar industrial manufacturing environments.
