Production Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Ponchatoula, Louisiana, United States; on-site. Relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $95,000–$110,000 per year plus bonus and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Direct production, product flow, resource planning, and execution at the Ponchatoula manufacturing facility.
• Develop production plans aligned with custom project specifications and organizational goals.
• Lead continuous improvement using Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and standardized operating procedures.
• Coordinate project execution with Project Management, Scheduling, Sales, and Engineering teams.
• Manage and mentor department managers, conduct performance evaluations, and support professional development.
• Optimize capacity, staffing, equipment utilization, manufacturing costs, and productivity metrics.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive production management experience in a design/build manufacturing environment, including 4+ years in management.
• Expertise in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Build to Order, Configure to Order, and final assembly of complex products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading diverse teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as Acumatica, SAP, or Oracle, plus Smartsheet and Google software.
• Ability to work on-site in Ponchatoula, Louisiana; successful background check and participation in a drug and alcohol program are required.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with ISO 9001, UL 508A, UL 891, UL 1008, NEMA, and NEC standards.
• Startup or greenfield manufacturing experience, including power distribution equipment or switchgear.
• Experience with process automation, robotics, machine vision, AI-based automation, multi-site production, or advanced capacity planning.
