Compounding Pharmacist (Pharmacy)

Location: Gilbert, Arizona, United States; on-site. Shift: 6:30am–5:00pm, with flexible shift times required.

What you will do

• Supervise pharmacy technicians and other compounding support personnel.
• Perform and document compounding procedures, quality assurance checks, dispensing, formula verification, beyond-use-date checks, and finished-product verification.
• Coordinate equipment calibration, maintenance, compounding workflows, and environmental monitoring.
• Train and evaluate compounding personnel while developing SOPs and training manuals.
• Support regulatory compliance, audits, continuous quality improvement, inventory, record keeping, and pharmacy operations.
• Conduct patient counseling, drug utilization reviews, error documentation, and other pharmacist duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy.
• Active pharmacist license in Arizona.
• At least 2 years of pharmacist experience and non-sterile compounding experience.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations, including USP <795>, USP <800>, FDA requirements, and Arizona pharmacy rules.
• Proficiency in English, verbal and written.
• Ability to work with hazardous drugs, wear required PPE and respiratory protection, undergo respirator fit testing, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Mail service or mail order pharmacy experience.
• Multi-state pharmacist licensure.
