KVH is an integrated healthcare delivery system providing emergency, inpatient, outpatient, clinic, home health, hospice, rehabilitation, surgical, pediatric, and urgent care services.
What you will do
- Provide progressive and comprehensive pharmaceutical services to hospital patients.
- Dispense prescriptions through the retail pharmacy, including prescriptions for KVH Hospice.
- Work with healthcare providers to support positive patient outcomes and safe medication practices.
- Use hospice medication algorithms approved by the Board of Pharmacy under a collaborative practice agreement with the Hospice Medical Director.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
- Current license to practice pharmacy in the State of Washington.
- Familiarity with automated dispensing cabinets such as Pyxis.
- Current CPR and PALS cards, with required ongoing maintenance.
Nice to have
- Two years of hospital pharmacy experience.
- Experience with AmerisourceBergen, Cerner, CPOE, EMAR, or Rx Informatics.
- Bar Code at the Bedside experience.
- Retail pharmacy experience and knowledge of the 340B Program.
- Experience with hospice protocols and guidelines.
