TL;DR

Focus on supervising pharmacy technicians, resolving prescription issues with providers and pharmacies, and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.

Location: Onsite at 12639 West Explorer Dr Suite 100, Boise, ID 83713. Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. with rotating eight-hour shifts and rotating Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

What you will do

  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support the pharmacy manager with daily pharmacy workflow.
  • Oversee prescription data entry, staff quality, patient record confidentiality, and compliant document destruction.
  • Receive, process, and transfer prescriptions while owning the transfer process end to end.
  • Verify filled prescriptions in a high-volume closed-door fulfillment environment for drug, dose, quantity, and labeling accuracy.
  • Review new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy.
  • Counsel patients by phone, clarify prescriptions with prescribers, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • Active Missouri Pharmacy License in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience; mail order, specialty, or closed-door fulfillment pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Strong command of English, attention to detail, accuracy, technical aptitude, and ability to learn complex software.
  • Additional active pharmacy licenses in states including Idaho, Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, California, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia are preferred.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a mail order, specialty, or closed-door fulfillment pharmacy.
  • Bilingual Spanish ability.
  • Additional active state pharmacy licenses.
