Bankruptcy Collections Specialist III

What you will do

• Manage complex delinquent accounts involving bankruptcy, foreclosure, REO/property preservation, repossession, remarketing, legal liaison, and post-charge-off collections.
• Contact borrowers, attorneys, and bankruptcy trustees to assess repayment prospects and arrange repayment schedules, loan workouts, reages, extensions, or other solutions.
• Conduct investigations and skip tracing, and recommend account placement with collection agencies, attorneys, brokers, and property preservation firms.
• Coordinate with business partners and vendors to ensure services meet established service-level agreements.
• Review collateral condition, establish asset value, negotiate sales, and complete transactions with limited oversight.
• Follow compliance, operational risk, internal control, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Combined minimum of 3 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 1 year in customer service, customer-facing work, collections, call center, or sales.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to work under general supervision and independently perform skip tracing.
