Collections Specialist III (Banking)

What you will do

• Manage complex mid- to late-stage delinquent accounts across foreclosure, bankruptcy, repossession, property preservation, remarketing, legal liaison, and post-charge-off collections.
• Contact borrowers, attorneys, bankruptcy trustees, business partners, and vendors to assess repayment prospects and arrange repayment solutions.
• Conduct skip tracing and recommend account placement with collection agencies, attorneys, brokers, and property preservation firms.
• Protect loan collateral, review asset condition and value, negotiate sales, and complete transactions with limited oversight.
• Support loss prevention, cost containment, service-level monitoring, compliance controls, and audit remediation.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined higher education and/or work experience, including at least 1 year in customer service, customer-facing work, collections, call center, or sales.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented approach and ability to work with autonomy in skip-tracing activities.
• Ability to follow company and regulatory compliance and operational risk standards.
