Head of Enterprise Risk

Location: Boston, MA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; New York City, NY; or Washington, DC. Remote-friendly, but all staff are expected to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time; some roles may require more office time.

Annual salary: $280,000–$340,000 USD

What you will do

• Own the enterprise risk framework, including risk identification, assessment, prioritization, governance, and integration into business planning.
• Lead specialist program leaders across environmental health and safety, access management, third-party risk, and new-facility security.
• Guide global environmental health and safety strategy, policies, standards, regulatory compliance, and safety culture.
• Establish and operate vendor-risk processes covering due diligence, contractual security and safety requirements, and supplier monitoring.
• Develop security programs for new facilities from risk assessment and design through readiness and transition to operations.
• Anticipate emerging risks associated with global growth, new offices, and frontier research environments, partnering with GSIS, IT, People, Legal, Compliance, Real Estate, and Facilities.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in enterprise risk, safety, resilience, or security program leadership.
• Experience managing teams and multidisciplinary programs at organizational scale.
• Experience building or owning an enterprise risk management framework and integrating it into business planning.
• Strong executive communication skills and the ability to translate risk into operational programs.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment and build programs ahead of need.

Nice to have

• Experience at hyperscale technology companies or large, multisite, multinational organizations.
• Strong environmental health and safety experience in complex or high-risk environments.
• Third-party or vendor risk management experience.
• Familiarity with enterprise risk frameworks such as ISO 31000 and relevant certifications such as CSP, CIH, CPP, ARM, or ERM credentials.
• Experience in high-profile, regulated, or research environments.
