Mobile Building Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Winston-Salem, NC; onsite at portfolio properties with regular travel between multiple sites

What you will do

• Perform maintenance and repairs across multiple properties, including plumbing, basic electrical work, and HVAC troubleshooting.
• Inspect lighting, roofs, parking lots, building equipment, and other property systems; maintain records and report abnormalities.
• Respond to unscheduled maintenance calls, tenant comfort requests, severe weather events, equipment failures, and power outages.
• Monitor contractors performing outsourced repairs and use company vehicles to travel between properties.
• Develop proficiency with HVAC troubleshooting, energy management systems, and BAS operation across multiple properties.
• Mentor junior mobile technicians and collaborate with engineers to maintain consistent service delivery.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of job-related experience or equivalent certification or trade experience.
• Valid state driver’s license and any engineering or trade licenses required by applicable regulations.
• Developing advanced proficiency in HVAC troubleshooting and energy management systems, with experience operating BAS across multiple properties.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, laptops, phones, work-order systems, email, and training platforms.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
