Mobile Building Engineer

Location: Daytona Beach, Florida, USA; regular travel between assigned properties is required.

Salary: $28.90–$34.00 per hour

What you will do

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across assigned commercial properties.
• Maintain heating and cooling equipment, pumps, fan coil units, VAVs, air distribution systems, package units, and split systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, installations, and general building repairs.
• Inspect electrical, IT, generator, fire pump, sump pump, and life-safety systems in accordance with applicable standards.
• Document activities, report issues, and respond to emergencies, equipment failures, evacuations, and customer concerns.
• Monitor energy management systems and maintain compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; trade school or apprenticeship completion is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Experience maintaining and repairing HVAC, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, and water systems.
• Required trade licenses or permits may include journeyman or master electrician, refrigeration, boiler, or steam operator credentials.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, basic computer skills, and knowledge of energy management systems.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, climb, stoop, crouch, work outdoors between properties, and perform on-call or shift duties.
