Salary: $120,000–$182,000 per year

What you will do

• Own and improve subsystem designs for fusion devices, including electromagnetic, structural, fluid, thermal, and control systems.
• Design novel hardware for testing and integration into fusion devices.
• Create hardware designs in CAD software such as NX and SolidWorks.
• Perform engineering analysis using FEA tools such as ANSYS and FEMAP.
• Lead design reviews, incorporate feedback, and iterate toward functioning systems.
• Work hands-on with technicians to build, integrate, and troubleshoot hardware on fusion generators.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 3+ years of professional experience delivering full-scope engineering projects, including schedule ownership.
• First-principles and method-based approaches to solving technical problems.
• Hands-on exposure to multiple engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and fluids engineering.
• Advanced experience with CAD software such as NX or SolidWorks.
• Experience with FEA software such as ANSYS or FEMAP.
