Senior AI Engineer (Unstructured AI)

Location: Brussels, Belgium; hybrid, with at least two office days per week

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery of Unstructured AI systems from prototypes through stable production deployments.
• Build full-stack systems that ingest, process, and enrich large volumes of unstructured content such as PDFs, contracts, and reports.
• Write and review production-grade backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Integrate data from enterprise sources including SharePoint, Salesforce, OneDrive, internal APIs, and SaaS knowledge bases.
• Build and deploy document-processing systems using scalable data pipelines and big data frameworks.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and sales teams from prototyping through rollout.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, API development, and integrations.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based and AI-driven enrichment, including classification, entity extraction, deduplication, and PII detection.
• Production experience with Spark or comparable big data frameworks, including tuning and debugging jobs at scale.
• Experience with tested production services, data pipelines, microservice architecture, API design, model evaluation, and search relevance.
• Experience defining and shipping MVPs for vaguely scoped problems, plus the ability to apply guardrails, structured outputs, testing, and review gates to agentic engineering.
• Must have work authorization to work in Brussels. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience is required.
