Junior AI Coding Engineer

What you will do

• Work with High Value Intelligence team members to translate business challenges into practical technical solutions using AI-assisted coding tools.
• Build and maintain internal tools, dashboards, prototypes, and production-grade automations.
• Convert manual procedures and standard operating procedures into documented, reliable automated workflows.
• Test solutions against real data and validate AI-generated code and prompts for security, reliability, and fitness for purpose.
• Document work in Jira and Confluence and introduce new AI coding approaches to the team.
• Ensure solutions comply with GDPR and internal security policies.

Requirements

• Experience building tools, scripts, or automations with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
• Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or an equivalent programming language, plus hands-on Git experience.
• Basic SQL and database knowledge, with experience in data handling, APIs, web scraping, or workflow automation tools.
• Strong prompt engineering, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical solutions.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Linux, networking, or cloud computing.
• Background in regulatory, legal, compliance, or intelligence environments.
• Experience using AI tools for document analysis, summarization, or structured report generation.
