TL;DR
Engineering Leader (AI) (healthcare insurance): Building scalable insurance products, AI-assisted underwriting systems, and tools for pricing and contract lifecycle management with an accent on engineering leadership, architecture, and production AI. Focus on shaping a shared insurance stack across countries, developing high-performing teams, and solving complex regulated-domain challenges while remaining hands-on in code.
Location: Paris, France; hybrid. The role is part of hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada.

What you will do
- Lead the engineering team responsible for pricing, offer creation, contract lifecycle management, and Sales tooling.
- Build and scale a shared insurance stack that supports country-specific requirements across multiple markets.
- Guide architecture, technical direction, quality standards, operational excellence, and incident response.
- Develop AI-assisted underwriting capabilities and other AI or LLM products for production use.
- Partner with product functions to shape roadmaps, clarify trade-offs, and commit to achievable delivery plans.
- Hire, mentor, and develop engineers while shaping team structure, onboarding, feedback, and engineering culture.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience leading engineering teams and building high-performing teams.
- Experience establishing engineering excellence standards and guiding architectural decisions.
- Interest in remaining hands-on: reviewing code and contributing to production code.
- Comfort with modern development practices and AI-assisted development tools.
- Curious, self-starting, humble, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning and psychological safety.
- Ability to work on complex healthcare technology and regulated insurance products.
Nice to have
- First-hand experience shipping AI or LLM products to production.
- Previous founder experience.
